New members are welcome, although many sections are full with waiting lists.
Please tell us about your instrument(s), band experience and music education.
For Fall 2027, we are recruiting for 3 clarinets, 2 french horns, 1 upright bass and a web design volunteer.
- The band is now a class under the auspices of the Petaluma Adult School.($40/semester, as of Spring 2026)
- There are no formal auditions, however participants should have experience equivalent to regional high school honor band or college band level and be comfortable reading music with complex rhythms.
- High school students may join on a space-available basis, but need to ask permission of the director, as well as their school instructor. An audition may be required.
- Participants should have their own instrument. Percussion equipment is provided onsite.
- We ask that you commit to regular attendance at Monday night rehearsals, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
- An enthusiasm for community music and contributing to the town band tradition is essential!
